Reviews
This is a 44 card deck with no arcana or suits.
The cards measure 90 x 127mm - which makes them a little broader than many tarot decks, and a little smaller than many oracle decks. They sit and fit nicely into the hands.
The deck is made from high quality card stock which is only a little flexible. They have a smooth, glossy finish which facilitates both easy handling and easy shuffling. The edges are gilded – the guilt adds a glittery element and is of good quality, in that it does not tarnish, or rub off on the hands when the cards are being handled.
The print quality is clear with crisp, clean lines, no blurred images or colour bleeds.
The images are simple, uncluttered, digitally enhanced photographs in muted *tea* colours – sepia, pale grey, mossy green, antique Rose, washed out blues and mauves. The images have no frames or borders, and the card titles are given in a plain white print at the bottom of the picture.
The picture on the back of the cards is beautiful – a wooden door opens onto a sunlit garden.
The cards and guidebook come packaged in a solid cardboard box with liftoff lid, which is printed with information about the deck and images of the cards. This is a solid little box set, made for travelling, which can be easily slipped into a bag or backpack.
The guidebook is 105 pages of information with black-and-white reproductions of each card. The introduction jumps straight into the action with some excellent advice on how to use the cards. This includes some timely wisdom about not becoming fixated on past lives to the detriment of the one being currently lived. The information about clearing, consecrating, questioning, shuffling, and reading the cards is all very sound, and could be easily applied to any divination deck.
Each card has a divinatory meaning which is fairly brief but interesting, kind, and consistently positive in both advice and outlook. Typically a Seeker maybe told that they experienced an event or culture in a past life which is guiding them to a positive outcome in this life.Suggestions about how to act on this are always included.
The applications and possible uses for these cards ranges far outside simply being an oracle. As well as having spiritual and occult applications they could easily be used in sacred storytelling, as creative inspiration, and in therapeutic settings.
If you have any interest in your past lives then this deck is a must. It will also enhance any reading, whether you are doing one out of personal interest or as a professional fortune teller or psychic.
