sized) cards.
They are a good size to fit the average
hand, and large enough to see the elegant details in the
beautiful illustrations.
There is also a mini deck
available.
The Shabby Chicness Lenormand Oracle was the second
deck I purchased when newly embarking on my study of
the Petite Lenormand- and I was immediately drawn to
the beauty of the images. They are lavish and
painterly, though the art is based on photographs. The deck
has a number of alternative cards to choose from, so
that you can customize your deck, and change it
periodically, when or if you feel the need to. The images are
charming and evoke an idealized country lifestyle, rustic
without being primitive, and suggestive of Victorian times
without losing a certain 'hipness'. A romantic mood
dominates, which would be especially attractive to many
female readers especially.
Some folks might find this
deck a bit too 'twee' for their tastes, but I
personally love them, and I love the way I can adapt it to my
changing moods, with of the extra cards. They also have an
additional option, a caption at the bottom of the card that
describes seasonal affiliations and timeframes. They can be
ordered with or without this feature.
The printing is well
done, the card stock is good quality- nice and sturdy,
and the cards come packaged in sturdy plastic cases.
I've had them for about three years now, have used them
a lot, and I have been very pleased with them. When
you receive the deck, you also have the option to
receive a companion ebook, which is a pretty decent guide,
and though not as exciting as the lovely deck, there
are good insights to be found in it.
I ordered these
online directly from the artist/author, Tarot Lyn, aka
Lynnette Monrean, and feel that they are a very good
value.
